NOSTALGIA ANYONE?
Or maybe a little stoll down memory lane?
A few clues: One of these girls died in 1970 - five are now grandmothers - One is a great grandmother, and the great granddaughter looks exactly like her "ancestor" in the picture, even the blue jeans.
The bottom picture is what the girls were looking at on the other side of the street. One more dollar for the name of the young (19) man ogling the girls from the engine cab window.
A few clues: He was working "the extra board" (part time) as a student fireman on the day when the picture was taken. The train was a combination (freight-passenger) local which operated on a railroad nicknamed "the Punkin Vine", apparently because it wasn't going anywhere in particular, and in no great hurry to get there.
