WHITE CEMETERY is located approximately 1 mile south of Marcellus Highway on Glenwood Road in Section 26, across from the White School. You follow a lane beside a house on the east side of the road to the cemetery.
Philo White and his wife Harriet deeded to the Wayne Township Board the following piece of property for a burying ground.

For the consideration of one dollar. The deed was recorded June 14, 1853 Property description as follows: Commencing at a point five chains, and forty eight links east and fifty links north of the west quarter post of Section N 26 Town 5 South of Range N. 15 west thence east seventy five links. Thence No.1 chain and 50 links thence east 75 link to the place of beginning containing 22 1/3 100 of an acre of land the same more of less.

Please keep in mind that the sites on Cass County were constructed by volunteers and are being maintained by volunteers. If you have additional information or photos of the stones in any of the Cass County Cemeteries, please contact me at   cassmichigangen@yahoo.com   Deanna West - your new Cass County Michigan Coordinator.

Any time you view an older cemetery, in no matter what county through out the USA, the listing should be considered as a partial listing as many times records are either destroyed through mishap or not all burials were recorded.
