Lamberton - HENRY LAMBERTON - Henry Lamberton, an old and respected citizen of Day County, (SD) died at his home, Monday, Dec, 19th, 1898, after an illness of nearly a year of paralysis. He was born in Batavia, N. Y. November 24th, 1818. He settled in Niles, Mich., Berrian county in 1837, afterwards in Cass county where he was united in marriage to Suemma Kirk, June 10th, 1837 by which they gave birth to six children, four boys and two girls. His wife died in 1850. Two years afterwards he was married to Lucinda Kemp on Feb 29, 1852 whom he now leaves together with ten children, six boys and four girls to morn his sad departure. He lived in Cass county, Michigan until he came to Dakota in 1883, and settled in Homer township, Day county where he lived until his death. He was 80 years, three weeks and four days old. On the day of the funeral it was learned that officiating clergyman, Rev. N. J. Aplin was born in the same town of the deceased and lived on the same street of his uncle John Lamberton fourteen years. A large concourse followed the remains to his resting place on Hillside cemetery.

HENRY LAMBERTON - Jan 20, 1899 Niles (Mich.) REPUBLICAN The Niles (Mich.) REPUBLICAN has a notice of the death of Henry Lamberton, who leaves a widow, six sons and four daughters. Mr. Lamberton was born in Batavia on Novenber 24, 1818, but went to Michigan early in life. MRS. WILLIAM H. LAMBERTON, SR. Mrs. William H. Lamberton, Sr., after an illness of only a few days, died this morning at 3:30 o'clock at her home, 1299 Regent Street. Mrs. Lamberton was taken ill on Saturday, and although her physicians diagnosed her illness as heart disease, she had not before that time been a sufferer from heart trouble, and her death comes as a shock to her family and friends. Mrs. Lamberton's maiden name was Hattie Loane. She was born in Indiana, July 25, 1850. She was brought to Niles by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Loane, and had always since resided here. She was united in marriage to William H. Lamberton in Niles November 6, 1873. No children were born of this union, William Lamberton , Jr., on whom she lavished her motherly care, being a son of Mr. Lamberton by a former marriage. Besides her husband, Mrs. Lamberton is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ell Young, of Highland Park, Mich., and by two brothers, Byron Loane of Niles and Wesley Loane of South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Lamberton lived on a farm north of Barren lake in Howard township for the greater part of their married life, but moved to Niles about 10 years ago, when Mr. Lamberton retired from active farming. Mrs. Lamberton was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends and neighbors, by whom she was well known for her good deeds and kindly services and her death is mourned by them. The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist church of which the deceased was for many years a member. Rev. E. G. Lewis will officiate. Interment will occur at Silver Brook cemetery.

Lawyer - Elizabeth Steck Lawyer, born in Germany March 19, 1849, came with her parents three years later to Cass cuntym, where she died August 6, 1909 survived by her husband and two sons.

Lyle, - Mary Michael Lyle, born in Green Co.,Ohio, Jan 2, 1830, and the same year came with her parents to Berrien Co., where she remained until 1863, where she was married to Daniel Lyle, and moved to Dowagiac, where she died, May 27, 1910. Linderman, Asher: - May 3, 1932 - Asher Linderman dropped dead at his home Tuesday night,May 3, at Edwardsburg,Mich, about eleven o'clock shortly after coming home from work.He complained to his wife that his throat hurt him and immediately pitched forward on the floor.Dr. M.C. Jackson was called and found that death resulted immediately.Asher,son of Landon and Mary Linderman was born at Woodland Ind.,Feb. 9,1893.He was a worl war veteran,enlisting at Huntington,Ind.,May 15, 1917 and served eighteen months overseas.He moved with his family to Edwardsburg,Mich.,from Lapaz,Ind., in the fall of 1929.He purchased a home on Hamilton street,where he opened a shoe repair shop.Some months ago he purchased the D.M. Barber building on Main street and moved his equipment into same.He leaves to mourn his departure his wife,four children,his mother and step father,two brothers Henry of Edwardsburg and George of Huntington Ind. and one sister,Mrs. James Monroe of Edwardsburg.He also leaves many friends and relatives in Edwarsburg,Lapaz and Plymouth,who greatly regret his sudden departure.
NILES DAILY STAR,NILES,MI WEDNESDAY 4 MAY 1932 EDWARDSBURG MAN DEAD - Asher Linderman 39 a resident of Edwardsburg for three years and a survivor of the world war dropped dead last evening about 10 o'clock in his home in that village.He had been in his shoe repairing shop throughout the day yesterday as usual.He was born in Woodland Ind. on Feb 9, 1893.He is survived by a widow,Mrs. Lola Linderman and four small children,also by his mother Mrs. Mary Wazell of Edwardsburg by one sister Mrs. Eva Monroe of Edwardsburg and two brothers.Henry of Edwardsburg and George Linderman of Huntington,Ind. The body will be taken to Plymouth,Ind. for burial.
CASSOPOLIS VIGILANT 5 MAY 1932 - - ASHER LINDERMAN DIED SUDDENLY AT EDWARDSBURG ASHER LINDERMAN DIED SUDDENLY OF HEART DISEASE AT HIS HOME IN EDWARDSBURG,TUESDAY NIGHT AT 10 O CLOCK.HE WAS BORN IN WOODLAND INDIANA FEB 9 1893.HE LEAVES HIS WIFE LOLA FOUR CHILDREN,HAROLD,MARY ,HELEN AND ANNA ALSO HIS MOTHER MRS MARY WASELL (SIC YAZEL) OF EDWARDSBURG ONE SISTER MRS EVA MONROE OF EDWARDSBURG AND TWO BROTHERS,HENRY OF EDWARDSBURG AND GEORGE OF HUNTINGTON,IND. HE AND HIS FAMILY MOVED FROM LAPAZ TO THIS PLACE THREE YEARS AGO,AND HE WAS PROPRIETOR OF A SHOE REPAIR SHOP HERE,HE HAD WORKED ALL DAY TUESDAY AS USUAL.MR LINDERMAN WAS A WORLD WAR VETERAN AND SERVED OVER SEAS 18 MONTHS,HAVING BELONGED TO THE 150TH FIELD ARTILLERY OF INDIANA,FUNERAL SEVICES WILL BE HELD AT THE HOME FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT 3;00 PM AND BURIAL WILL BE IN PLYMOUTH,IND.

Cass county,MI - 7 dec 1918 Fort Wayne Journal Gazette A. Linderman wounded Huntington Ind. dec 6 G.H Linderman has received a letter from his brother Asher Linderman.A member of battery b 150th field artillery telling of being wounded in battle He lost the first joints on two fingers of his left hand and was burned about the face by powder.He also suffered slight injuries to his thighs with shrapnel,Linderman wrote only a short letter saying his hand s had just been unwrapped and the left one hurt so badly he could not use it long at a time. -

London, Joseph London born in England, Feb 27, 1824, came to America in 1853 and one year later to Cassopolis where he died September 9, 1909. He was married Sept 27, 1852 to Emma Crane who preceded him in death. No Children. - Cassopolis Vigilant , June 16, 1910

Long - Cassopolis Vigilant , June 16, 1910 - Michael D. Long was born in Ohio, April 14, 1836, died inb Mason township October 6, 1909, enlisted in 1861 in Co. G 74th Indiana Infantry, married Sarah E. Kaufman in 1858, to them were born 5 sons and two daughters.

Lybarker, Elois November 27, 1922 - The Edwardsburg Argus, 11/30/1922 MR. and MRS. PORTER LYBARKER DIE MONDAY Mrs. Lybarker,whose maiden name was Elois Andrus, was a daughter of Hazard and Fannie Andrus, and a sister of the late Jas. H. Andrus, of this village. She was born on the north bank of Eagle lake in 1845, and is about 77 years of age. They were united in marriage in 1866, making their home in Mason township where they have since resided. They are survived by two sons, Edgar of Saugatuck, and Ernest, at home; also four grandchildren.

Lybarker, Porter A.; November 27, 1922 The Edwardsburg Argus, 11/30/1922 MR. and MRS. PORTER LYBARKER DIES MONDAY.   Mr. and Mrs. Porter Lybarker, for many years residents of Mason township, passed away at their home Monday afternoon. Mr. Lybarker had been ill with an attack of pleurisy and Mrs. Lybarker passed away a few hours later from an attack of heart failure brought on by the shock of the death of her husband. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Swamp church, Rev. F. N. Drake, of this village, officiating. Burial was in Adamsville cemetery. Porter Lybarker was born in New York state Nov. 27th, 1840, being 82 years old on the day of his death. He came to Mason township about the year 1850. He was a veteran of the Civil War in which he served for three years. During this time he was captured and was confined for three months in a southern prison. Lybarker, Lillie (Parker) Mrs. - Mrs. Lybarker of Mason is dead
Cassopolis, Feb. 3---Mrs. Lillie Lybarker, 72, died Thursday at her home in Mason township. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Keith Goss at 2 p. m. Saturday in the Mason Baptist church with burial in the Adamsville cemetery. Mrs. Lybarker was born in Cass county in 1877, the daughter of Thomas and Rebecca Parker. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Darrien, Mason township; Mrs. Gordon Leich, Dowagiac, and Mrs. Elwood Hunt, Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Schreyer, Dowagiac, and Mrs. Carrie Shetterly, Cassopolis. The body was taken to the Connelly funeral home. It will be taken to the Mason Baptist church Saturday where it will lie in state from 1p.m. until the funeral.

ERNEST L. LYBARKER DIED SUNDAY NIGHT Ernest L. Lybarker, 66, a lifelong resident of Mason township, died at 9:00 p.m. Sunday after having been seriously ill for about a week. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon with a brief prayer service at the home at 2:00 and a service in the Mason Baptist church at 2:30 conducted by Rev. Oral Duckworth. Burial was in the Adamsville cemetery. Mr. Lybarker was a son of Porter and Lois (Andrus) Lybarker and was born Sept. 4, 1877 in Mason and had lived since two years old in the home where he passed away. He was married in 1904 to Miss Lillie Parker, who survives him, as do also three daughters, Mrs. Berdene Leich of Walkerton, Ind., Mrs. Nellie Heald of Elkhart and Mrs. Bessie Dorrier of Simonton Lake, and two grandchildren, Fredie Lee and James Everett Dorrier.
