His Body Was Brought To This City and Taken to Stackus' Undertaking Parlors

W V Burdick, white driving along the Pleasant Valley road yesterday morning gound the dead body of John Dufore of East Jordan, lying along the side of the road four miles from this city, on the top of the hill beyond a patch of woods. He notified coroner Marshall, who went out and brought the body of the unfortunate man to this city. He evidently fell down and could not get up again.
The snow and cold winds of Wednesday night chilled him as he was lying on the damp ground and he died alone from the effects of the exposure. His age is between 65 and 70. He leaves two children, one married daughter, Mrs Farmer who resides in East Jordan and one son Leonard Dufore also of East Jordan. He lived with a cousin at Intermedate Lake, Mr Peter Dufore. He has been more or less ailing of one thing and another all winter.
He has several relatives in this city. Mr and Mrs Paul Dufore and Mr and Mrs Joseph Dufore being cousins of the dead man. The deceased has been a resident of East Jordan for over 32 years and is known by everyone.
The remains were taken to East Jordan last night by Mr Whittington og that place and his son Leonard.
The funeral will occur Saturday at the undertaking parlors of Mr Whittington.
