These people are my grtgrand-parents or grtgrt grand-parents. My mother Mary Ann NEDEAU was a daughter of Edgar J NEDEAU and was born in Nahma in 1942.

Her fathers name was GEORGE and his father was JAMES/JACOB. Caroline married FRANK "FRANKY" JOSEPH LEWIS b.1903 in MI, son of CHARLES LOUIS and LOUISA WAYWEGAWNAYBE. I am seeking more info, those who knew of her, photos, etc. I am willing to share info.

Plswift, 7-10-98, Searching for information on Alivn Sylvester WINN b.22 June 1854. Believe he was born in Escanaba, Delta County, MI. and died on 26 Nov. 1930. Subject was a practicing dentist in Escanaba. He is my great grandfather and am seeking any and all information. Married Julia Isabella WRIGHT, who was from New York. There is one grave marker at Lakeview Cemetery in Escanaba with the WINN name. Anyone having a few extra hours to find info on marker, I would be grateful. New at searching family history...but making some headway. Presently stuck on the WINN side of the family. Am living in Southern California and unable to travel to do much research. This sure is fun and interesting!

Judy Poquette; 10Mat1998; Am trying to locate information on my husbands family. I am missing the dates for Oliver POQUETTE, my husbands Uncle His birth date was 4/1, he died sometime in the late 1970's. and was buried in Lake View Cemetery in Escanaba. Oliver's father's name is John. Oliver's wife's name was Persha, we have no information as to her dates. John and Zepherine had three sons, Raymond, Oliver, and Samuel (my father-in-law) My husband's grandmother was Zepherine Lucier POQUETTE, she died in Gladstone on 1/15/1941. Jan Alpert, 4/26/98; Charles Stanley TROWNSELL b. 28 May 1892 in Delta Co., MI. His parents Charles T. TROWNSELL and Luella NORTON are buried in the Lakeview Cem. in Manistique. His parents were Richard TROWNSELL and Mary ______ from Ireland. I do not know where they are buried or when they died. Would like to make contact with someone researching this family.

She is believed to have married a man named Oliver HENRY and moved to Duluth, Mn. Ole may have been conductor for railroad.

S. Kufahl,Feb.10,1998; Looking for any information on BERGERSON family and VINJE family. Andrew and Severina came from Norway with three sons. They settled in Escanaba and had two more children. Children: Harold, Theodore, Benjamin, Hans and Margaret (1896). Benjamin married Anna Marie VINJE and they had children and moved to Two Harbors MI. Any information greatly appreciated.

Mary Jane Powers, 1-23-98; Looking for the birth/marriage/divorce of Kenneth GENIESSE. Born in Escanaba Sept. 22 1910. I am interested in his offspings.

Fay Jones, 01-10-98; Researching the names WHITCHURCH, and HOOD. Members of both families can be found in Gladstone, MI from 1910 through the 20's. My father, Thomas William WHITCHURCH was born in Gladstone, MI in 1918. I believe my grandmother, Mabel (HOOD) WHITCHURCH, and her father, Frank HOOD, are buried at a cemetery in Gladstone, MI. JEFF FRASER, ROCKFOPRD,ILLINOIS, 11-16-97;Researching Joseph Lazarus BOURGO, who with his wife arrived in Delta County, Escanaba area, in 1892. Had about 9 kids. Evelyn who married Henry BEAUCHAMP. Harriet, still alive and in a nursing home in Escanaba area.

Arthur 10-09-97,Wanted: Any information on the following: My GGGrandfather was Anthony THOMPSON, dates and places of birth/death unknown. He was a lighthouse keeper on Skilagalle Island off Cross Village. His father (name unknown) had been a lighthouse keeper in England. Anthony THOMPSON married Margaret PUYOT/PAUILLETT/POULYOTT (my GGGrandmother), date and place unknown. Margaret's father's first wife had died and Margaret was a child by his second wife (name unknown). Margaret had three half brothers and sisters: Mary PUYOT, Josette PUYOT and Pete PUYOT. Josette PUYOT was born in a canoe in Lake Michigan and Mary married a son of Chief PETOSKEY. Margaret PUYOT was from Cross Village and is buried there. Anthony and Margaret THOMPSON had a daughter named Louisa THOMPSON (born about 1903,) (my Great Grandmother) on Skilagalle Island. Louisa THOMPSON married my Great Grandfather, John LaVECK/ LeVECK/LEVEQUE about 1891 in Escanaba, MI. They had three children: Emery H. LaVECK, b 10 Jul 1892, Stella LaVECK, b 10 May 1894 and Jennie Louise LaVECK (my Grandmother), b 5 Aug 1896. All above information on the THOMPSON and PUYOT families is from a note written 25 years ago by a Great Aunt.

Charlene Wamhoff , Aug.17-1997; Richard GRAVELLE died in Ford River, MI just days before he was to be committed to the Upper Penesula Hospital Asylum in 1909. He and his brother Alexander were shot in a bar fight , where Alex died and Richard lived, tho shot in the head. Richard was married to Cath CARTER in WI and she died in Ford River in 1906. Richard and Cath's children were sent to Mt. Pleasant School. There were supposedly alot of relatives in Escanaba, Mi. the names were Willie CARTER, Elizabeth and Herman LIESNER, Joseph CARTER. There was an article in the newspaper when Richard and Alex were shot, when Richard died, and in the 1930's when an article was written about Ford River's past. I would like to find copies of these articles and try to contact any family that may be around there. The GRAVELLE'S lived in "Breed Town" or "Indian Town" across the river from Ford River Proper. I would like to get a map of the area as it existed in the 1900-1910 era if possible.I have not given enough info please contact me, as I have more about the GRAVELLE'S but nothing on the CARTERS. Roland's siblings: Margaret SULLIVAN, b.1913, James SULLIVAN b.1915, and one child either died or was a miscarry. Patrick SULLIVAN'S father was Michael Patrick SULLIVAN (vitals unknown). Wife unknown. I have no information for Sara(h) parents but, she had 10 siblings. Thanks.

IdaKay , July 20, 1997, Am looking for information re: Friederick (Fred) ROGGENDORF/ROCKENDORF born 02-01-1867 in Door County, WI, married Jeny Anna MARTIN ALBERTSON born 01-26-1880 in Ephraim, Door County, WI. Fred died 08-21-1954 in Escanaba, MI? Jeny died 09-??-1937 and was buried in Rapid River, MI? I believe they had one daughter, Phyllis, other than this information I don't know anything about this particular family. I am looking for marriage information, where & when died and where they were buried. Also, any information about children would be helpful and appreciated. These people were my great Aunt & Uncle. Have most of the information on the Albertson's if anyone is interested. TIA

Jeff Hall 5-15-97 August J. BLIXT b:1888 d:1919 in Escanaba (Cornell) father's name Charles August BLIXT, wife's name Constance LAUSON. Any into on August J. BLIXT would be helpful but I have no data on Charles August BLIXT..I know he was born in Sweden, married to Augusta LUND but that is it.

Jloehde 05-09-97 Searching for any information on the BELANGER/BELONGEA'S of Delta Co. Henry, age 48, lived in Nahma in 1907, his wife was Mary, nee MARTIN, children, Lizzie and Charlie. Also the daughter of Henry's brother, John BELONGEA, Edith, age 20 married a WALKER and was living in Escanaba, 1907. John and Henry were the children of Betsy and Leon BELONGEA of Mackinac Co.

Calvin Ingram, 04-19-97 Looking for additional information on the COLONY, BEAUDRE, and PLANTE Families believed to live in the Garden\Fayette area of Delta County. Fred Charles COLONY was born in Little Suamico, Wisconsin (Across the bay) on 1 Dec 1875-1877. His father, Edward COLONY, and wife only known as Nellie E., moved to Delta county sometime after Fred Charles was born. Fred Charles married a Mary Rose BEAUDRE of the Garden area of Delta county. Mary was believed to be a Dressmaker & School teacher in the area. Fred Charles and Edward both worked at a Iron works in the area. Mary's father was believed to be Exore BEAUDRE, mother Elizabeth PLANTE. Would appreciate any additional history & lineage to any of these lines in Delta county.
