| Documentation: Both parents died leaving the three children orphans.
They were placed in St Vincent's Orphanage in Detroit, Michigan. On their sister's application for a birth certificate in 1944 a Elizabeth Haas living at: 311 Wayne Street in St Joseph, Berrien County, Michigan stated she went to Washington School with Minnie Haas and that both parents were deceased and at that time the three children were placed in a St Vincent orphanage in Detriot, Michigan. |
