THOMAS S. KNAPP was from Vermont having children Charles Sumner,  Arvilla Maria and Chandler Stevens, all born Vermont. This is the line of CHARLES SUMNER KNAPP, son of Thomas S. Knapp. Mr & Mrs. Charles Sumner Knapp came to Lakeside, Erie Islands, Ohio in 1830 as one of the first settlers, this family multiplied and spread into some of the counties of Lenawee, Jackson and Eaton Counties Michigan mostly by his son CHANDLER B. KNAPP.
