Ransom and Frances lived in Breedsville where they raised theirtwo children:

     Harry William Meacham    born 22 Feb 1882    Married Olive Cadwell

     Pearl Meacham            born 1889           MarriedJohn Schneider (WA)

Ransom and Frances were the parents of another child, Edna Meachumwho died on 10 June 1888 at the age of only 4 months, 15 days..  Herdeath record lists the cause of death as "spinal fever".

Ransom and Frances were living in Breedsville in 1889 as "Fanny Laferty"is a witness at the 24 June 1889 marriage of her father, William Lafertyand Mentoria (Bailey, Bennett, Rockwell, Eckler).  William Lafertylisted his age as 58 years, occupation as veterinary surgeon and the factthat he had been married 2 times previously.  Details regarding hisfirst marriage are unknown other than his wife's name was "Cathryn" andthey had a child, Louisa "Lottie" Laferty b. 1853 who married John F. Page.

Frances Lafferty Meacham's mother, Harriet Page Lafferty was marriedabout the same time (1889) to a Mr. Charles House.

Both the Meacham and House families moved to the Seattle area aroundthe turn
of the century.  The King County Census, WA gives the followinginformation:

1922 - family in Seattle Also living in Seattle at this time wasCharles and Harriet House; also Frank and Jennie Page (they resided at3846 35th Avenue West).

Ransom and Frances Lafferty Meacham eventually moved to Ferndale,Whatcom County, WA where they had a farm kitty corner from Frances' firstcousin, Nellie Page Wright, the daughter of George W. Page, brother ofHarriet Page Lafferty House.  The families were living in Seattlein 1912 and were in Ferndale prior to 1930.

Ransom David Meacham died in Ferndale, Whatcom County, WA on 1 Jan1935. Burial was at Enterprise Cemetery, grave 3, lot 3, 8 G.

After Ransom died, his wife Frances moved back to Seattle WA whereshe lived with her daughter Pearl Meacham Schneider, husband John and onlychild, Doris Schneider.  Frances Meacham died 9 June 1946  (DeathCertificate # 2576) at the age of 81.  Cause of death was gangreneof the foot as a result of diabetes. (Frances, Pearl and Doris all diedof diabetes related diseases.)
