Marriage(1): Married in the First Baptist Church in Pontiac. Marriage information based on church marriage certificate with last digit of year missing but appears to be 1883. Witnesses are Lewis and Charles Perry.  John's last name appears to be spelled either Dibuis or Dubois.

Worked for the Owosso Fire Department as a driver - fireman for the horse drawn fire engine and later worked in a grocery store and ran a butcher shop in Owosso. After moving to Lansing worked for the Shell Oil Company as a delivery driver. In about 1950 started the Dibean Fuel Service with son John Junior selling Shell Oil Products as a distributor until 1956 when the business was sold. In 1952 moved to a farm on Canal Road in Eaton County after the death of son Gerald Leroy in an automobile accident near Flint Michigan. He worked the farm until about 1972, when the farm was sold with a life lease on the home. He remained at the farmstead until his death in 1981.
