Huron County, MI - Volunteer Lookups !

I wish to thank the wonderful people who volunteer their time
to help others find their ancestors.  Please do not overwhelm them with requests.  Limit it to one name at a time please and be as specific with information as you can.

Scott Mills has a book titled "Elkton Area: The First 100 Years 1897-1997" published by the Elkton Centennial Book Committee and printed by the Cass City Chronicle. It has many family genealogies, Elkton history, etc. It is indexed and has 296 pages.   He is willing to do lookups in this book.

Renee Diroff has graciously offered to take digital photos of gravestones at St. Mary's cemetery in Dwight, St. Edwards in Kinde, St. Mary's in Parisville, and St. Michaels in Port Austin.  You must have location of grave and photo will be sent email only.

Dan Fantore has the 1880 census data for Rubicon and Bloomfield township.  In addition, he has plat maps, Loide Bahr's "Port Hope Remembers," cemetery information for the townships of Marquardt, Gore, Lakeview and Port Hope and finally, data on almost 10,000 descendents of the Port Hope area.
