Flatiron Building
Northwest corner of Monroe and Ottawa Avenue

The building dates back to about 1860.
It was thought to be built as a bank as the materials used in the construction were brick and steel.
It is unsure who built the Flatiron Building but it is thought that William B. Ledyard and Moses V. Aldrich probably did between 1857 and 1862 as the became manufacturing partners in 1855.
It is located where Ottawa Avenue runs into Monroe Center.
