The copy of the Park Congregational Church Centennial history in which this list was found was dedicated "To Mrs. Henry B. Davis, Park Church, For Perfect Attendance and Faithful and efficient leadership as Supt. of Junior Dept. 1937, Edward A. Thompson, Minister."

Also enclosed was a program for a service held on Sunday, June 3, 1951. "Early Service, Thompson Chapel." Some of the notes of genealogical interest:

  • "The flowers today are given in loving memory of Mark and Cornelia Norris."
  • "Bishop Ten will meet at the church at 2 o'clock with Mrs. Wilhelmina Nuberg and Miss Clara Mast as hostesses. Mrs. Evalyn McColl will give devotions."
  • "Cornelius Ten will have a dessert meeting at one o'clock at the home of Mrs. Frank M. Selander, 2615 Lake Michigan Dr., N. W., with Mrs. J. Kenneth Gates assisting. Mrs. Kenneth A. Friou will give the devotions."
  • "Netta Gay Ten will meet at one o'clock in the home of Mrs. Edward VanPopering, 1023 Oaklawn, N. E., with Mrs. S. C. Seekell as co-hostess."
  • "Judson Ten will meet at 8 o'clock in the home of Mrs. Ray G. Patterson, 1841 Horton, S. E. Devotions will be given by Mrs. A. E. Stainforth."
  • "Jean Ten will have a picnic at one o'clock at the home of Mrs. J. A. Jeltes, 2707 Elmwood Dr., S. E., with Mrs. Donald Jones assisting."
  • A notation that the past presidents of the United Workers Society had sat at a special table for the annual meeting luncheon. "It made up an impressive group of leaders." [See above.]
  • "BIRTH: Thomas William, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan A. McCurdy, Jr., May 22."
  • "CHRISTENING: Carl Harold III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Richard, Jr., was dedicated to the Lord in baptism in a special service before the children's altar last Sunday afternoon."
  • "WEDDING BELLS: Ardis D. Torres and Charles J. McCarty, May 19; Marjorie Jean White and James Watson Cowdery, May 26; Dorothy W. Tiggleman and John Borgeld, Jr., May 26."
