Friedrich Cekursch lived in Grand Rapids earlier but entered the Lutheran Old Folks Home, Monroe, Michigan on 6 September 1921.  He died there on 21 July 1930 and was taken to Grand Rapids for burial.
He was born in Holzendorf, Mecklenberg-Strelitz, a duchy in Prussia; widower in 1921.

Friedrich and Friedarika had three daughters:
1) Wilhelmina "Minnie" Cekursch married James Palmer - 9 Nov 1893 - Grand Rapids, MI.  James Palmer died 22 May 1909, burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.  Minnie married second - Harry Verstay.  No known children

2) Anna Cekursch born May? 1886) married Adrian Van Ess - 25 Feb 1909 - Grand Rapids, MI
Minnie had three daughters by 1920, and by 1921 when her father entered the Lutheran Home, she had 4 children.

3) Carrie, born December, 1883 (1900 Federal Census).  No further information.

Friedrich and his wife Friedarika are buried in Valley City Cemetery.  Friedarika died 21 Dec 1919.
