PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT BOUNDARIES

Center Street School – Beginning at the corner of South Division and Sycamore; Sycamore east to city limits; city limits south to city limits; city limits west to G.R.V. railroad; the railroad north to Third ave; Third ave east to South Division; South Division to Sycamore. Primary pupils in that part of this district lying west of S. division street shall attend the South Ionia Street school. The building is on the corner of Center and McDowell.

Central Grammar School – Seventh and Eighth grades – Grand River on the west, and the city limits on the north, east and south. In the High School Building.

Coit Avenue School – Beginning at the corner of Bridge and Clinton; Clinton on both sides of the street north to Observatory; Observatory east to North ave; North ave south to Hastings; Hastings west to Coit ave; Coit ave south to Bridge; Bridge west to Clinton. For all grades below the sixth grade. The building is on Coit ave near Hastings.

Coldbrook School – For pupils of primary grades living east of the D, G.H. & M Railway; north of Coldbrook and south of Carrier streets. The building is on the corner Leonard and North ave.

East Bridge Street School – Beginning at Crescent ave and city limits; Crescent ave to Bostwick; Bostwick to Bridge; Bridge (both sides) to Coit ave; Coit ave to Hastings; Hastings to North ave; North ave to Shirley; Shirley to city limits.

Fountain Street School – Beginning at the corner of Fountain and Ottawa; Fountain east to Bostwick; Bostwick north to Crescent ave; Crescent ave east to city limits; city limits south to Cherry; Cherry west to Jefferson ave; Jefferson ave (including nothing on Jefferson ave) north to Fulton; Fulton and Monroe to Ottawa, Ottawa to Fountain. Pupils of the primary grades living between Lake ave and Cherry street and east of Union shall attend Henry Street school. The building is on the north side of Fountain, near Prospect.

Grandville Avenue School – Beginning at the corner of Cherry and Ellsworth ave; Ellsworth ave south to Wealthy ave; Wealthy ave east to GRVRR; south to city limits; west to the river; the river north to Cherry; Cherry east to Ellsworth ave. Pupils above the fourth primary in this district may attend South Division Street school. The building is on the west of Grandville ave.

Henry Street School – Lake ave on the north; city limits on the east; Fifth ave on the south; Union street on the west. For the first five grades only.

High School – The city limits. Building on the corner of Lyon and Barclay.

Jefferson Street School – North boundary beginning at the river, Valley street west to the railroad; railroad north to Bridge street; Bridge street west to city limits. Southern boundary beginning on West Fulton from river to city limits. Pupils living west of Straight and north of Jackson shall go to Pine Street school. The building is on the corner of Jefferson and Gold.

North Division Street School –Beginning at the river on Fairbanks; Fairbanks to Clinton; Clinton (both sides) to Observatory; Observatory to Coilt ave; Coit ave. to Bridge; Bridge, including nothing on Bridge to Bostwick; Bostwick to Fountain; Fountain to Ottawa; Ottawa to Monroe; Monroe to Pearl; Pearl to the river; river to Fairbanks. Building on the corner of Bridge and N. Division.

North Ionia Street School – The boundaries of the Fifth ward, south of Leonard street. The pupils of the four lower grades living north of the D, G. H. & M. Railway, between Leonard and Coldbrook, shall attend Coldbrook school. The building is on Ionia street.

Pine Street School – Beginning at city limits; Fourth to Stocking; Stocking to Bridge; Bridge to Straight; Straight to Jackson; Jackson to city limits; city limits on the west. For pupils of the first five grades only.

Plainfield Avenue School – Limits of the Fifth ward north of Leonard Street.

Seventh Street School – Beginning at city limits and Eleventh; Eleventh to railroad; railroad to Bridge; Bridge to Stocking; Stocking to Fourth; Fourth to city limits.

South Division Street School – Beginning at the corner of Fulton and Jefferson ave; Jefferson ave (both sides) south to Maple; Maple street (north side) west to Lagrave; Lagrave south to Goodrich; Goodrich west to Sheldon; Sheldon south to Blakely ave west to S. Division; S. Division south to but not including Third ave, thence west to the railroad; railroad north to Wealthy ave; Wealthy ave west to Summit; Summit north to Cherry; Cherry west to the river; the river north to Pearl; south side of Pearl, Monroe and Fulton streets to place of beginning. This school will receive classes of the grammar grades from Wealthy ave, Grandville ave, and Center Street schools. Building at the corner of S. Division and Bartlett.

South Ionia Street School – All territory north of and including Third ave between South Division street and the railroad.

Straight Street School – All territory south of Fulton to city limits.

Turner Street School – Beginning at the river midway between Sixth and Eighth streets; west to Seventh street; Seventh street west to Broadway; Broadway north to city limits; thence east to the river. For pupils of first grade or higher grades if necessary. Pupils living on Broadway shall attend West Leonard Street school.

Union Grammar School – Grand River on the east, and the city limits on the north, west and south. Building at the corner of Broadway and Third.

Union Primary – Beginning at the river on Valley street; Valley street west to the railroad; railroad north to Seventh street; Seventh street east to the river. Building at the corner of Broadway and Third, west side.
