Calkins Law Office:
Oldest Surviving Structure in Grand Rapids

Built in 1836, it housed the law office of
Charles P. Calkins, who came from Hinesburg, Vermont,
about this same time. Mr. Calkins married Mary Ann
Hinsdill, daughter of Hiram Hinsdill.
