Brookman, Patricia L.

Patricia L. Brookman, aged 83, of Kentwood, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl. She is survived by her children, Nick (Kathy) Newman, Brian (Marianne) Brookman, Cheryl (Rob) Adkins; grandchildren, Nicholas (Devon) Newman and Kendra Newman; great-granddaughter, Erin Newman. Patricia was very involved with volunteer work at Frederik Meijer Gardens, Meals on Wheels, SECOM (Southend Community Outreach Ministry), West Michigan Kidney Foundation. She was an MSU Extension Master Gardner Lifetime Member.

Her life was filled with many special interests including quilting with the Basement Bunch, West Michigan Walkers, Western Michigan Genealogical Society and the Kentwood Women's Club.

Memorial Services for Patricia will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 5333 Clyde Park SW with Rev. Dr. Larry Bradford officiating. Military honors will be under the auspices of the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park.
