James Campbell Everett--With a feeling of loss, we mark the passing of two of our staunchest, most loyal members. On August 30th, James Campbell Everett died unexpectedly from a heart attack in the summer home of Heber Curtis at Lakewood Farms, Holland.

Born in Highland Park, Ill., he came to Grand Rapids as a young man after attending Lawrenceville academy in New Jersey and Hobart college where he was a member of Sigma Phi fraternity. In this city he entered the investment banking field and was affiliated with several partnerships, becoming manager of the E. A. Pierce Co. He was later manager of the E. E. McCrone Co. and was widely known in state financial circles. He was a member of both Kent Country Club and the Peninsular Club. Mr. Everett was survived by his widow, Mrs. Helen Barnhart Everett, two daughters, Helen and Sarah, and one son, James Campbell Everett, Jr., a student at the University of Michigan. He also left one brother, Charles Everett of Redlands, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Mills and Miss Adele Everett, both of Highland Park, Ill.
