Victory H. Hanson age 88 of Grand Rapids passed away Sun Nov 29, l987 at Kent community Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie E. Hanson. He is survived by his children Victory H./ Betty Hanson, Jr. of Comstock Park, Roger J./ Joan Hanson of Alvarado, Texas, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, l brother Herman Hanson, l sister Dorothy Hanson 2 sisters in law, Bertha Hanson and Helen Hanson, many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hanson served as a member of the Grand Rapids fire dept for 39 years retiring in l959 as a captain. Services will be held at the Ryers North Valley chapel 28l5 Fuller Ave. NE. l pm Weds. with the Rev Wesley Swanson and the Rev. Thomas Cowger of Evangelical Covenant Church officiating. Internment in Greenwood Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet his family at the chapel from 7-9 Mon and 2-4 and 7-9 Tues. In lieu of flowers family requests contributions to the Myers Lake Home for Retarded Citizens.
