1/1946 - Robert L. Johnstone--

Mr. Johnstone, member of the firm of Johnstone-Van Domelen

manufacturers supplies, died Monday, Jan. 21, at Butterworth Hospital where he had

been a patient for 10 days. He was hospitalized on his sixty sixth birthday. He resided

at 940 Gladstone Ave., S.E.

A native of Memphis, Mich., Mr Johnstone had been a resident of Grand Rapids

since 1909. He was a representative of the Sherwin-Williams Paint company until

1917 when he became one of the incorporators of the Grand Rapids Varnish Company.

He became western Michigan representative of the Glidden Company, Cleveland, in 1921

Under the name of Johnstone-Van Domelen.
