Age 20, of Chardon, Ohio (Formerly of Grand Rapids)

 Passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006 in Cleveland. Maria is survived by her parents, Gary and Sandy Kooy; sister, Kimberly; and brothers, Timothy and Nate Kooy; maternal grandparents, Jack and Carol Triestram; paternal step- grandmother, Dorothy Kooy; and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, A. Peter and Josephine Kooy; and uncle, Cameron Kooy. Funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2006 at Pilgrim Lutheran Brethren Church, 9514 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Mentor, Ohio, 44060. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. at Brunnner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060 and then on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Church. Graveside service will begin Friday, 11:30 a.m. at Chardon Cemetery, Chardon, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested in Maria's name to the Maria Kooy Memorial Fund, in care of the church.
