Samantha Provin

In the town of Cannon, this county, on Friday morning, April 27th, 1858 of consumption. She was the youngest daughter of James and Clarissa Provin, aged 19 years and 6 months.
The deceased was one of those few, who, though living among mortals, continually remind us of the angels. She was universally beloved by those who know her, and will be long remembered, and sadly missed by those who were favored with an intimate acquaintance with her.
She was a firm believer in the communion of Spirits with mortals, and awaited the beautiful change that death would bring to her in the sweet confidence that "Our Heavenly Father doeth all things well".
The funeral services were conducted by Mrs. M. J. Kutz, of the residence, and was attended by a large concourse of sympathizing friends.
