WILLIAM SMITH DIES

William Smith, veteran of the Civil War and for many years engaged in railroad work, died at his home, 52 Graham street, S. W., Sunday after a long illness. He was seventy-three years old. Mr. Smith was employed as a locomotive engineer by the Grand Rapids and Indiana Railway company for a number of years, but retired several years ago. He was a member of Watson post, G. A. G.

Funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the residence; Interment in Oak Hill cemetery.
