John C. Tryon

In this city, at his residence on the 24th Inst., 1858, at 12:30 p.m., died, aged 38 years.
After lingering years of painful disease, which he bore with that resignation which our Saviour and God alone can give grace to endure; in the meridian of life, in the full enjoyment of his mental faculties, while the material sun was shining in the fullness of day, and the Son of Righteousness filled his soul with fullness of faith and hope; he rejoiced that his hour had come.
The funeral services will take place at St. Mark's Church, on Sunday next, at 3 P.M.
