George W. Mc Eachron
 

George W. Mc Eachron was born in Onondaga township, Onondaga County, NY on 8 Oct 1840. When he was six years old his father died. George was employed on a farm until sixteen years old, when he learned the carpenter trade, worked at it until 1869. Then he came to Jamestown, Ottawa County, Michigan, where he bought a farm of 91 acres which he sold in April, 1881, and bought 100 acres in Byron Township which was under cultivation.

The premises were adorned by a house and a barn, which cost, respectively $2,000 and $1,000. He married Adelaide Ann Amidon at Onondaga, NY 4 Jul 1859. They had seven children. Mrs. McEachron died 8 Apr 1870 and two years later Mr. McEachron married Ida A Gould of Jamestown. He served two years as Highway Commissioner. He was a republican.
