Born 17 Oct 1764 Stafford, Conn; died 21 Aug 1839, Adrian, MI; 1st wife, Phebe Ware; 2nd marriage to Mehitable Ellis in 1804; served from Massachusetts; buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Block 3-16, Adrian Twp, Lenawee Co, MI

Dr. Lothario Donaldson was the son of John Danielson and Ruth Blodgett, and the husband of 1) Mary 'Polly' Rider; and 2) Hannah Cheney. Along with his father and five brothers he served in the American Revolution. He enlisted in March, 1781, for three years, serving in the Mass. Line Regiment under Col. Henry Jackson. After the war Lothario was a physician, and practiced in Medfield, Norfolk, MA. He later lived in New York State and then Michigan. In the 1830's Lothario, along with most of his brothers and cousins, changed the family surname from 'Danielson' to 'Donaldson,' believing it to be the original family name back in 1600's Scotland. Buried in the McLain Cemetery, Raisin Twp.

Born 06 Jul 1763 Taunton, Mass; died Sep 1850 Lenawee Co, MI of a "fever"; 2nd marriage to Hannah ord in 1787; buried in the Gage Cemetery on Cadmus Road, Dover Twp, Lenawee Co, MI; He was a Private on the Continental Line.

Buried buried Canandaigua Cemetery, Medina Twp, MI, Row 7, Stone 7. Stone reads, 'Orderly Sgt, Strong's CT Reg, Rev War' Enlisted at Litchfield Co, CT and lived there toll after the close of the Revolution; May have died in Michigan where last transferred; applied for pension in Lorain Co, Ohio, Aug 28, 1833 and for transfer of pension to Lenawee Co, Mich March 4, 1835; this pension was made payable in Richland Co, Ohio Nov 31, 1834 but the records show he resided in Lorain Co; no record of his having lived in Richland Co. Pension #S 29151 (from To The Pioneers of the Ohio Country 1788-1938). He married Phoebe Thompson. His daughter, Mary Jane Furgeson, was married to Abner Griffith, a veteran of the War of 1812 who is buried very near to Samuel.

Fought in the American Revolution, first as a drummer boy and fifer at age 16, later as a soldier under Captain Nathaniel Carpenter. In 1789 he married MEHETABLE BLISS. With their three sons, Willard, Whiting, and Timothy B., they emigrated in 1826 from their home in Brattleboro, Vt., to Blissfield, Mich. There Ezra was elected as the first town clerk. In May, 1939, the D.A.R. erected a boulder memorial to his memory and in honor of his Revolutionary War service. [This account from the BLISSFIELD ADVANCE OF May 25, 1939].

married Mary Dodge in 1784; description of service: Massachusetts Continental, rank Private; placed on Pension Roll 16 May 1834.

Born 07 Jun 1763 in Stonington, Conn and died 08 Nov 1851; married Phoebe Morgan in 1786; buried in Brookside Cemetery, Section J, Tecumseh, Lenawee Co, MI. During the Revolutionary War, Henry enlisted for 1 year as a private from Stonington, Conn, and re-enlisted for 6 months in the fall of 1779, and for 7 months in May 1780. For his 2 years service, he received a pension of $80/year beginning Mar 4, 1831. They lived in Connecticut for a few years, then moved to Cayuga Co, NY, settling permanently in East Venice, NY. Henry moved to Tecumseh, MI after Phoebe's death and lived with his son Charles, and family. (Ancestry.com)

Family tradition says that when he died in 1839, he was interred on the farm of his grandson Later in the 1860's he was removed to the plot in the Old Cemetery belonging to his daughter. After the death of his wife in 1889, he was placed in Oak Grove Cemetery beside his wife, (Freelove J., and next to his son, McKenzie and wife, Adelia) "Our Journey in Time"; Morenci Bicentennial Committee, 1976; pg 63

Born 25 Mar 1765 Fairfield, Conn; died 07 Jan 1831 Medina, Lenawee Co, MI; married Keziah Jacob in 1781; buried in Medina Village Cemetery, Medina Twp, Lenawee Co, MI; he served as a Private, Massachusetts from the Revolutionary War Pension List of 1820.

Joseph Tuttle, Revolutionary War; buried Old Weston Cemetery, Fairfield Twp, MI Connecticut Co of Teams.

A Baptist minister. Husband of Rhoda Merrill Whipple; father (by a previous marriage) of Walter Whipple; father-in-law of Susan A. Donaldson Whipple; grandfather of Lothario D. Whipple. Born Connecticut 1752; in Connecticut Militia fighting in Vermont with Green Mountain Boys during Vermont's war of independence; Sergeant in Massachusetts Militia during American Revolutionary War. Left Connecticut due to religious intolerance; settled in Hanover, New Hampshire. In later years, apparently moved to Michigan to be near his son Walter, and died in 1833 while in Michigan. Buried in McLain Cemetery, Raisin Twp. [Thanks to Beverly Huckins for this information.]
