Cook School
Austin Township

The Cook School was located east of Stanwood on the corner of Buchanan Road and 155th Avenue. It had two front doors with a wood and coal shed attached to the rear. It also had two separate outhouses about 100 foot behind the school. There was a wooden carved scroll at the front "Cook School - 1883".

One known teacher at the school was Belle (Olin) Fenstermacher. Another student, Harry Marek noted teachers Virginia Whitman and Mrs. Frost.

Emily Gotch attended the school from 1898 - 1906.
