 Chas. W. Barton Residence Located at 525 North State Street. Later occupied by William Witt and then by Ike & Bessie Kingsley, who also owned a grocery store built on the corner north of the residence. Contributed by: Fran Upshur |
 Wilson Stickney Residence This residence which stands at the corner of Warren avenue and Linden street, was erected in 1874 at a cost of about $40,000, and it is the finest private residence in northern Michigan. Its owner Mr. Wilson Stickney, is an extensive lumberman and a public spirited citizen. Contributed by: Fran Upshur |
 This is a photo of my great grandparents , John and Hannah (Marsh) Hewitt's, home at 204 Rose Street. in Big Rapids. It was built in 1886 and still stands today. It was restored by George and Kay Janzen in 1976. The first picture was probably taken a short time after it was built, and the second picture is how it appeared in 1993.
