Only a small number of Big Rapids voters were expected at the polls today to vote in the question of selling beer on Sunday in the city. A check-up at noon revealed that the total votes cast at this time was 321.

The election is a straw vote and is being held so that members of the city commission may know whether the majority of Big Rapids residents want beer to be sold in the city on Sundays. The city commission will decide the issue.
