PULLING POWER

Whike the advertisement at left for Four Drive Tractor Company was promoting the advantages of its unique design to farmers of the early part of the 20th Century, other non-four wheel drive tractors were also replacing oxen and horses in farm fields across the county. The picture far left was taken in the Barryton area. These early entries into the mechanized world of farming pale in comparison to the modern equipment of today, but in those earlier days they offered much more pulling power than the beasts of burden.
