Andrew enlisted at Hillsdale, Michigan, at the age of 30 for 3 years of service on March 29, 1864, and took the muster oath on April 8, 1864. He reached the regiment on May 23, 1864. He He served with the regiment until July 28, 1865, at which time he was mustered out of the service at Delaney House, District of Columbia. His post war address was Camden, Michigan.
