Lieutenant John A. Clark

Company D, 7th Michigan Infantry,

From Monroe, Michigan, John enlisted as a Sergeant on June 19, 1861 at the age of 20. He was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant on March 18, 1862, then to 1st Lieutenant on Aptil 22, 1862. He was killed at Antietam, Maryland, on September 17, 1862. He is buried at Monroe.
