Dewitt C. Cherington

Dewitt enlisted at Hillsdale, Michigan, at the age of 33 for 3 years of service on March 28, 1864, and took the muster oath on April 8, 1864. He joined the regiment on May 21, 1864. He reached the rank of Sergeant before he was mustered out of the service at Delaney House, District of Columbia, on July 28, 1865. His postwar address was Breedsville, Michigan.
