From Isabella County, Michigan, James Gruet enlisted at Gratiot for 3 years service at the age of 19 on September 26, 1861. Re-enlisted at Rossville, Ga, on February 6, 1864. He was wounded in action at Atlanta, Ga, on September 1, 1864. Mustered out as a Corporal on July 19, 1865, at Louisville, Ky.

From Midland County, Michigan, George H. Minor enlisted at Midland for 3 years at the age of 19 on September 16, 1861. He re-enlisted at Rossville, Ga ,on February 6, 1864. He served the rest of the war and was mustered out at Louisville, Ky, on July 19, 1865
