Elbridge Franklin, of Gratiot County, served as a private in company C of the 5th Michigan Infantry. Elbridge was wounded in action at Fair Oaks, Va., May 31, 1862. He was discharged on June 1, 1865, at Washington, D.C. Burial is in North Star Cemetery, Gratiot County, Michigan.
Luther Franklin, of Gratiot County, served as a private in company C of the 5th Michigan Infantry. He was shot on July 2, 1863, during the Battle of Gettysburg. He died on July 30, 1863, and is buried in the Michigan Plot, Section E, Site #2, Gettysburg National Cemetery.
