Wm. Bradley's Sons - Wholesale Groceries

The first Wm. Bradley involved in the business served in Company F, 21st Michigan Infantry during the Civil War.  Because of ill health caused by his involvement in the service, William moved with his family to Greenville and in partnership with William Canair, started the Canair and Bradley General Merchandise business located at the corner of Lafayette and Montcalm Streets.  William Bradley bought out Canair in 1868.  By 1880 the business was known as Wm. Bradley's Sons which became a wholesale grocery business in 1902.  Wm. H. Bradley joined his father in the business because of his father's ill health and is considered the driving force behind the business growth.
