George W.S. Anson lived in Troy Township and is buried there as is his son Eldridge Vincent Anson, and his wife Hudla, George is my great grandfather, and Eldridge is my Grand father. I am looking for information on George W.S. Anson. George died in 1892 , his death is recorded in the records of Newaygo County. The surnames Stratton, Pickett, and Quick, are the surnames of the daughter's of George W.S.Anson. I am looking for information on these individuals also. I will appreciate any help.

Desire any information on Barzilla GIDDINGS, who settled in Newago Co. in 1860's. His brother, Wyman lived here for several year before moving on as did his brother, Joshua Reed Giddings who later moved to Hesperia, Oceana Co. Mi. His sister, Roxanna married Edwin GLEASON and lived at Newago Co. Mi. They "all" were from Ashtabula Co. Oh.

Searching for info on the Decendants of Nathan McDonald (d 1912) and Mary Elizabeth (Withers)McDonald (d 1904). Both died in Newaygo and are buried in Goodwell Township. Nathan's Pension records say they lived in Woodville. There youngest son, Jess, was raised by his siblings. Some of the family moved to Grand Rapids, some to Big Rapids, but some were still in Newaygo ca. 1960. Mary (Withers) McDonald's parents, Peter and Anna, and her siblings also came to the area and are burried in Goodwell Twsp. Also looking for decendants of James Mullin and Martha (Hayes) Mullin. Both were born in Maine, died in Newaygo. Unsure of burial place. Any help apreciated. Will share what I have..

We are trying to locate Icabod{Ichabod}Thompson and Lenora Dodge Thompson. They had a son named John Dodge Thompson and he married Samantha Shippy. John Dodge was born in 1828 and died in 1908. We believe the family originated in New York or Mass. and then later moved to around Newago County. We really don't have much information to go on. We have come to the conclusion that Icabod may be a nickname. John Franklin Thompson {John Dodge Thompson and Samantha Shippy Thompson's son was born around 1866. They also had a son, Joseph Shippy Thompson born ca 1870 and a daughter, Elizabeth {Libby} Thompson born ca 1869. John Frranklin Thomposn married Edith Louise Swain (children: Charolotte 1893, Jjohn 1895, Mable Edith 1899, Lydia Josephine 1901, Thelma Edna 1903, Margery Mae 1907, and Daniel Fanklin 1912. Looking at Surnames in Neywago Co. Looking for any information on Warner Brown or his mother Rebecca Brown. They lived close to Adelia Brown Shaw (husband Jacob Shaw). Warner Brown married a Michigan school teacher in 1872 named Lydia Munroe Pearce. They later moved to Oklahoma around 1888. Rebecca Brown is buried in Seaman's Cemetery near Casnovia on the old Canada Road. I am trying to find a marriage record for Warner Brown and Lydia M. Pearce. Thank you.
