MIDDLETON, JOHN:
John Middleton age 84 died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Peter Awrey last Thursday (2/2/1916) after a long illness of dropsy. Other than Mrs. Awrey he leaves three sons and one daughter. The funeral was held at the Awrey home Saturday. Rev. Merrill officiated and burial was made in Brookside Cemetery.

ST. PETER, PETER:
WEST BRANCH, Mich. - Peter St. Peter, 99 years old, who lived alone in the abandoned town of Ogemaw Springs for nearly 40 years, died in a hospital here Tuesday. Mr. St. Peter who was born in Montreal, lived in Saginaw for several years before coming here. He was well known to thousands of tourists whom he entertained in his spotless little cabin and often posed with his pet deer for photographs. He was the father of 16 children. (1938)
