LaPorte School District #3 is located in the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 30, Township 21 North, Range 2 East, Horton Township, Ogemaw County, Michigan, on Wickes Road at Cook Road. Few records exist on who donated the land, who built the school, or who taught there.
