Maltby School District was located in the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 27,
Township 24 North, Range 4 East, Heath Road, Goodar Township, Ogemaw County, Michigan; also the Southeast
Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 21, Township 24 North, Range 4 East, Heath Rose, Goodar
Township, Ogemaw County, Michigan. No records exist on who donated the land, who built the school,
or who taught there. All that remains of the Maltby School is the concrete steps. If you have any
information concerning the Maltby School, you are asked to contact the Ogemaw County Coordinator,
Grace Dooley.
