6/14/00 Gaylord Herald Times Submitted by Judy Gresham Lucy Jasinski, 92, of Gaylord died Sunday, June 11 I 2000 at McReynolds Hall. Mrs. Jasinski was born act. 19, 1907 in Gaylord and had lived most of her life in the Gaylord area. Prior to her retirement years, she had been employed at Otsego Memorial Hospital and the Alpine Center. She was a member of St. Mary Cathedral parish and St. Mary Altar Rosary Society. She is survived by her children, Jerry Norton of Gaylord, Gloria (George) Elkins of Mancelona, Ed Jasinski of Gaylord, Frank (Myrna) Jasinski of Gaylord, Nancy (Ted) Krol of Gaylord and Joyce Jasinski of Oceanside, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters Stella Majchrszak and Dorothy Jacobs, and her brother Frank Pewinski. Mrs. Jasinski was preceded in death by her husband, George, her son, James, six sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 15 at 10 a.m. from St. Mary Cathedral, the Rev. John McCracken officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Gaylord. St. Mary Altar Rosary Society will offer a rosary this afternoon (Wednesday) at 4 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus rosary Will be offered at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan or to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital through the Nelson Funeral Home.
