Mrs. Mary Mankowski, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Rolinski, on December 14 (1958), leaves 131 direct descendants to mourn her loss. Funeral services were to have been held on Wednesday, December 17 at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Gaylord with Msgr. Francis Kaminski officiating. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Born in German Poland 88 years ago, she and her husband lived on a farm six miles east of Gaylord for about 30 years before moving into town. For the past year Mrs. Mankowski has made her home with her daughter, where she was living at the time of her death. She was a member of St. Mary's Church.

She leaves seven living children: Mrs. Larry Kenney of Saginaw, Mrs. Jake Young of Detroit, Mrs. Roman Borowiak, Mrs. Frank Koscielniak and Mrs. Carl Rolinski, all of Gaylord; John Mankowski of Detroit and Frank Mankowski of Gaylord. Also surviving are 48 grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

One daughter, Mrs. Lucy Ratza of Birch Run, passed away just one week ago.
