Epitaph of Solomon Cook transcribed by Loekie Boersma

"I am the man that hath seen affliction."

Solomon Cook may be related to Martin Cook, a landowner in Tallmadge, husband of Mary M. Cook who is buried in Elmwood Cemetery. Neither Solomon Cook nor Martin and Mary Cook are listed on the 1850 U. S. Federal Census of Tallmadge, Lamont, Michigan.
