Arthur Yakes, the son of Margaret Thibaudeau and William Yakes.  He was born June 7, 1870 in Dryden, Lapeer, Michigan.  He had 11 brothers and sisters.  In MY album, it says that Arthur is the cousin of Louis Elmer Meddaugh, son of John Washington Meddaugh, of Croswell.  Arthur was found in a 1910 census for Lexington city, with his wife (I can’t read her name, could be Josie, Dorie, etc.) and 3 children, Noel, Ruth, Evert and his mother, Margaret, aged 70.

Mary Udell, possibly a sister of Nancy Udell (wife of Robert Meddaugh) and Salina Charleyfour (probably a sister of Xavier Charleyfour, in another picture here).  This is a tintype picture.

Louis Elmer Meddaugh, son of John Washington Meddaugh and wife Mary Thibaudeau Meddaugh, and his friend, Xavier Charleyfour (my spelling may be wrong here).  I am not sure where this picture was taken, since it's a tintype.

This is a picture of the 50th wedding anniversary for Louis Elmer Meddaugh, and his wife, Mary Eleanor Parker Meddaugh.  Pictured with them are their children, from left to right, Mary Margaretta Meddaugh Herron (my mother), Irene Pearl Meddaugh Simpson, Hazel Rose Meddaugh Vroman, Mary Parker Meddaugh, Louis Elmer Meddaugh, Johnny Meddaugh, Earl Vernon Meddaugh and Floyd Meddaugh.  This photo would have been taken on November 18, 1943, since they were married in AuSable Michigan in 1893.

Louis Elmer Meddaugh, son of John Washington Meddaugh and Mary Thibaudeau Meddaugh.  He is very young here, and this picture was probably taken in the Croswell area.  Louis is my grandfather.

Mary Parker (who later married Louis Elmer Meddaugh of Croswell) when she was in school in Oscoda.  Her parents had moved to Oscoda, and her father, John A. Parker, had died young.  Mary is the tallest person in the center of the back row.  She and Louis married in Oscoda and soon after, moved to Alpena, where they spent the rest of their lives.

Peter Counter, my great grandfather. He came to Sanilac County in 1878  from Canada and married a Jemina Stebbins. He served in the Civil War with the Sanilac County Volunteers. They had a farm called Orchard Grove Farm and had 12 children.
This is a photo of the family in front of their farmhouse in Carsonville. He and his wife Jemina and their oldest son are buried in Washington Cemetary.
If you have any information or leads on my family, I would appreciate it.
