CHAMBERS, F. E.

      Born near St. Thomas, Canada, July 16, 1861.  Left Canada when two years of age and located in Van Buren County, Michigan, with his parents.  Lived there six years, and then moved to Indian Fields Township, Tuscola County, Michigan, where he has since lived.  He was married May 18, 1892, to Miss Mary Loss.  Mrs. Chambers was born June 10, 1872, in Indian Fields Township, Tuscola County, Michigan.  They have two children, both girls, Mertie, born March 1, 1893, and Lottie, born January 14, 1895.

 

LONG, FRED

     Born in Oakland County, Michigan, May 5, 1867.  Lived in Oakland County till 1890, when he moved to Indian Fields Township, Tuscola Coiunty, Michigan, and located on the farm where he now lives.  He was married December 31, 1889, in Oakland County, to Miss Ida Baldwin.  Mrs. Long was born December 16, 1868, in Oakalnd County, Michgian.  They have four children, three boys and one girl, Henry, born Decrmber 31, 1891; Harry, born August 8, 1893; Ralph, born December 5, 1895, and Hazel, born May 6, 1897.

 

PIERCE, C. M.

     Born in Chemung County, N. Y., November 30, 1858.  Lived there till twenty-one years of age, then moved to Caro, where he followed the meat business until 1895, when his health failed and he moved on his farm to regain his health.  He was married July 4, 1885, to Miss Jennie Spencer, of Caro.  Mrs. Pierce was born in Caro, July 20, 1864.  Have two children, both boys, Spencer, born April 3, 1886, and Almond, born May 6, 1887.  Mr. Pierce has been Supervisor in 1898 and 1900, and resigned January, 1901, to fill the office of Superintendent of the Poor.

 

ROOT, J. H.

     Born in Huron County, Ohio, April 23, 1852.  Lived there twelve years, then moved to Watrousville, Tuscola County, Michigan.  Moved from there to Marlette.  Remained there seven years, then moved to Vassar.  Lived there three years.  He then came to Indian Fields Township on the farm where he now lives.  He was married in Watrousville, Michigan, November 16, 1880, to Miss Mary Coleman.  Have three children, two girls and one boy, Ida A, born September 26, 1881; John L., born November 2, 1887, and Margret E. born November 4, 1889.
