Spelling from this
handwritten index is maintained, but since much of the penmanship is
in the same handwriting covering many years, it appears to have been
recopied. It contains some spelling different
from some of the actual records.
Where spelling is
obviously incorrect, cross reference is made for easier searching.
Third column
indicates records that were removed from local court records. Early
unchanged records can be seen on microfilm at FHC libraries. Later
records may be available through the State of Michigan.
