BELOW IS PART OF THE EMAIL THAT ERIK SENT ME. Today I spoke to a citizen of Ludwigshafen. He is over 80 years old. He told me about the war in Ludwigshafen, told me about crash sites, their families evacuation in 1945, the liberation and their return home. Their house was partially bombed but they could save many artefacts from the house.
In a part of the house still standing, he found something. A bible.
Not their bible, but an american bible. An american soldier must
have forgotten it.
Or left it there because of other reasons.
