Another Old Settler Gone. 

Charles Simmons who had resided in L'Anse since its early days, died last Monday, 
after an illness of seven weeks. He came to this country from England in 1844, and 
was 71 years of age at his decease. 

The funeral services were held at the M.E. Church, on Wednesday afternoon by the 
Rev. F.O. Jones.
