William Philip Block  
November 21, 1900 – May 13, 1979
William P. Block, 78, Huron Line Road, died Sunday in his home from a heart 
attack.  He was born November 21, 1900, in Sanilac County.  He married Clara 
Lemanski June 17, 1930, in Parisville.  She died in January 1977.  Mr. Block is 
survived by two sons, Wilfred, Minden City, and James, Harbor Beach; a brother, 
Herman, Minden City; two sisters, Mrs. Nicholas Guitar, Bad Axe, and Mrs. Helen 
Lemanski, Port Huron, and a grandson.  A son, Thomas, died in 1949. 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 
Ruth.  The Rev. John Bellon will officiate.  Burial will be in the church 
cemetery. Visiting hours in Bowen Funeral Home, Minden City, begin at 7 p.m. 
today.  A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
