Karen Lee (Dropiewski) Coats 
July 15, 1943 – July 20, 2015
Port Huron.  Karen Lee Coats, 72, of Port Huron, died Monday, July 20, 2015.  
She was born July 15, 1943 in Port Hope to the late Frank and Loretta 
Dropewski.  She married Richard E. Coats on April 25, 1964 in St Stephen 
Church.  Karen worked for 32 years as mail carrier for the U.S. Postal 
Service.  She enjoyed dancing, was very quick witted, outgoing, was very caring 
and always thinking of others.  She was a voracious reader.

She is survived by her husband Richard E. Coats; daughter, Cathy (David) 
Dunsmore; grandchildren, Eliot and Ella Dunsmore; brother, Kenneth (Pat) 
Dropewski; sister, Lavonne Cloutier and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Karrer-
Simpson Funeral Home.  Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.  Memorial 
donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
