William Theodore Messing   
September 18, 1882 – October 6, 1946
Ruth, October 7 - William T. Messing, 64, lifelong resident of this vicinity, 
died Sunday in his home here.  
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a. m. Thursday in SS. Peter and Paul 
Catholic church.  Rev. Frank Kaufman will officiate.  Burial will be in the 
church cemetery.  Holy Name society rosary devotions will be conducted at 8:30 
p. m. Wednesday in the home. 

Mr. Messing is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Messing; five daughters, Mrs. 
Cecilia Van Dalen and Mrs. Genevieve Kosal, both of Palms, Mrs. Margaret Kirsch 
and Mrs. Mary Essmacher, both of Harbor Beach, and Miss Gladys Messing; Ruth: 
six sons, Wilfred Messing, Forestville; Norman Messing, Rapson; Charles Messing, 
Detroit, and Robert, Clement and James Messing, all of Ruth, 31 grandchildren 
and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Krantz, Harbor Beach, and Mrs. Henrietta Miller, 
Yale.  He was born September 18, 1882 in Sherman Township.  He lived in the 
Township until he moved to Ruth 2 years ago. Published Port Huron Times Herald 
Monday October 7, 1946

June 6, 1905 in Ruth.
